If you've read through my background, you can tell that I am passionate about helping people experience Victory in their lives. Some of that passion startes with my educational background and experience as a K-12 Health and Physical Education Teacher.
Learning how to move well and take care of our bodies is an essential part of reaching our dreams and goals. Physical Education does far more than preparing students to be active, develop healthy habits, and develop skills to participate in sports. A few other benefits include, enhancing brain development, increasing spatial awareness, helping fight against anxiety and depression, and much much more!
During my Master's Program, I began to research the prevelance of students in America who were homeschooled. After the Covid pandemic in 2020, the number of homeschool students began to drastically increase in the United States. Along with those statistics, the increase in childhood obesity, and recognizing that children are having less and less opportunity to be outside to play, it became apparent to me that the need for physical education is increasing. I decided to develop a standards-based physical education curriculum that would benefit students. This curriculum can be used by homeschool families, or any family that want to help their child develop their motor skills. This curriculum provides both background for the parent, as well as demonstrations for the student. This curriculum provides an opportunity to bring a certified physical educator into your backyard to help your student develop the components of physical fitness and skill development.
